Spirit of Wine scoured the earth to find the most qualified and talented sommeliers and wine experts from around the world to create the most remarkable monthly wine subscription.

Eddie Osterland As America’s first Master Sommelier he understands the value of fine wine and food and how to impress clients with presentation. With a background in psychology, years of experience on the restaurant floor, work with large corporations on sales strategies and natural salesman abilities, Eddie has leveraged his experience to teach associates from Merrill Lynch to American Express how to gracefully take control of their guests’ experience–so they can focus on building a client relationship and achieving results.

Paul Tonacci

Paul is a Certified Sommelier through the Court of Master Sommeliers, a Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators and a Certified Wine Judge through the American Wine Society. He’s opened his own wine bar and wine shop; he’s worked in wine retail, distributing, and importing; He enjoys judging wine in competitions and has been invited to judge competitions both domestic and abroad. He also freelances as a wine writer. Paul is currently working at a winery in the Sierra Foothills of CA, studying wine chemistry at UC Davis, and growing 20 varieties of grapes in his very limited spare time.

Scotty Moran

Bitten by the “wine bug” in 1993 while serving a dinner of the Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs hosting Corrine Mentzelopolous from Chateau Margaux. He was tremendously fortunate to have tasted through 10 vintages from 1900 – 1990, Scotty never looked back and committed to steep himself in all things oenophilic.

 

Certified by the Court of Master Sommeliers in 1999, he is currently the Beverage / Service Director of Cuvée at

Chatham Inn / Relais & Châteaux on Cape Cod while feverishly studying for the Master Sommelier examination. He has been in the same position with Goodfellow’s Wine Cellar on Mackinac Island, Bluebird London, The Plaza Hotel, SD26, The Muse

Hotel / Times Square (all in NYC), the Nantucket Golf Club, Chatham Bars Inn, Truluck’s Naples and Café’ Kandahar in Whitefish, Montana.

 

Scotty took part in the inaugural year of the Sommeliers Choice Awards and has been the winner of the Banfi trip as well as the Wine Australia / USA Sommelier Immersion Program trip to Australia and has judged the starChefs.com SOMM Slam Competition three times as well as the Wine and Spirits Wholesalers of America Competition.

Lindsay Pomeroy MW

Lindsay Pomeroy MW has helped foster a community of knowledge-thirsty wine drinkers in San Diego throughout her 14-year tenure as the Chief Wine Educator and founder of Wine Smarties, a  wine education company that offers wine certification programs in San Diego and Temecula counties (Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) and French Wine Scholar (FWS).

Outside of wine, Lindsay loves to spend time with her colorful family and friends, go rollerblading, meditate, and spend time in nature.
